Tho I think this a very beautiful and interesting subject, it has it’s dark side as theres a good chance it is Honey Fungus 🥺which may have contributed to our Hawthorn Tree looking like it’s on it way out 🙁 I have depicted it as it grew with the beautiful seeds of Iris Foetida and ferns. Following a chance conversation at the Private View of my recent solo exhibition with friends who were looking for a print for their bathroom, I made GREEN SANCTUARY. This is a linocut with watercolour of an imagined bathroom with lots of houseplants from my own collection. I particularly wanted the tiles to be celadon green as for some reason this came to mind when I was chatting about how it might look.
